In honor of today’s milestone, we explored a few classic Twitter firsts. To pull up your own early tweets, search for “from:yourusername,” select “All Time” from the time range options on the left, then sort the results by oldest.

We found some classic first tweets from Justin Bieber, written in a bygone era (2009) when the term “Twitter phenomenon” wasn’t yet part of our lexicon:

 

We looked up the earliest tweet mentioning Barack Obama, from January 2007:

 

And we charted the impressive growth in tweet activity about the Super Bowl over the past seven years:
